Thieves Like Us
Synopsis
In Depression-era 1930s Mississippi, three escaped convicts hole up in rural farmhouses and rob small-town banks with casual efficiency, while the youngest, gentlest robber falls into a tender, doomed romance with a naive gas station keeper's daughter, listening to old-time radio serials as the net tightens around them. Robert Altman's atmospheric, lyrical rural noir adapted from Edward Anderson starring Keith Carradine and Shelley Duvall.
