Synopsis
A slick, self-absorbed Hollywood studio development executive receiving anonymous, threatening postcards from a disgruntled screenwriter he rejected murders the writer he mistakenly suspects, successfully framing someone else and covering up the crime while acquiring the dead man's bohemian girlfriend and rising to head the studio.
