Synopsis
In 1957 West Germany during the height of the post-war economic miracle (Wirtschaftswunder), an upright, incorruptible new city building commissioner arrives in a provincial Bavarian town to stamp out corruption, unaware that the charming, cultured single mother he falls in love with is Lola, the star singer and high-class prostitute at the town brothel owned by the corrupt real-estate developer he is investigating.
