Synopsis
In 1880s British India, two roguish, former British Army sergeant scoundrels and Freemasons decide the subcontinent is too small for them, embarking across the snowy Hindu Kush into unexplored Kafiristan with twenty Martini-Henry rifles, where one of them is mistaken for the god-king reincarnation of Alexander the Great and crowned king until human lust shatters their divine deception. John Huston and Rudyard Kipling's four-time Oscar-nominated adventure summit starring Sean Connery and Michael Caine in peak comic and tragic form.
