Synopsis

A wealthy, aging French businessman aboard a train from Seville to Paris dumps a bucket of water over a beautiful young Spanish woman on the platform, explaining to his fascinated fellow passengers the story of his agonizing, obsessive pursuit of the elusive dancer who sadistically torments and eludes his advances. Luis Buñuel's brilliant final masterpiece famously casting two different actresses (Carole Bouquet and Ángela Molina) to play the same contradictory heroine.
