Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
Synopsis
Following a university faculty cocktail party, an embittered, alcoholic history professor and his venomous, volatile wife Martha invite an ambitious young biology professor and his naive wife back to their New England home for late-night nightcaps, unleashing an all-night psychological battleground of cruel humiliation games—'Humiliate the Host', 'Get the Guests', and 'Hump the Hostess'—stripping away their devastating shared illusion of a fictitious son. Mike Nichols, Edward Albee, and Ernest Lehman's monumental masterpiece nominated for thirteen Academy Awards (winning five) starring Elizabeth Taylor (Oscar Best Actress) and Richard Burton.
