Carnal Knowledge

Synopsis

Spanning twenty-five years from their 1940s Amherst college dorm room through middle age in the 1970s, two college roommates navigate their toxic, emotionally stunted relationships with women: one an aggressive, misogynistic tax attorney obsessed with physical attributes who slides into erectile impotence, the other an idealistic doctor seeking romantic perfection who traps himself in unhappy domestic marriages. Mike Nichols and Jules Feiffer's provocative, razor-sharp dissection of male sexual neurosis starring Jack Nicholson, Art Garfunkel, Candice Bergen, and Ann-Margret (Oscar Best Supporting Actress nominee).
