Synopsis
In 1798 France, a naked feral boy who grew up alone in the forests of Aveyron without language or human contact is captured and brought to Paris as an animalistic curiosity, taken in by Dr. Jean Itard who patiently and lovingly attempts to socialize and educate him in moral justice and human language. François Truffaut's austere, humanist masterpiece shot by Néstor Almendros, starring Truffaut himself alongside non-professional child actor Jean-Pierre Cargol.
