Synopsis

A sinister gang of five eccentric crooks posing as an amateur string quintet rents rooms in the lopsided London Victorian townhouse of a sweet, fragile little old widow to pull off an armored car robbery, only to find that murdering the meddlesome old lady proves far deadlier to themselves than to her. Alexander Mackendrick's pitch-black Ealing comedy in glorious Technicolor starring Alec Guinness and Peter Sellers.
