Synopsis
A homeless Chicago bum votes thirty-seven times for fifty cents a vote in a rigged mayoral election, catching the eye of the corrupt political boss who grooms him from precinct enforcer to reform mayor and state governor, until his genuine marriage of convenience inspires a fatal impulse to pass honest legislation.
