Synopsis
A childless, mismatched Tokyo couple—a quiet, unpretentious country-born executive and his snobbish, pampered upper-class wife who nicknames him 'Mr. Dull'—drift into marital contempt, until a late-night kitchen reunion over a humble bowl of green tea poured over rice reveals the profound, understated warmth beneath their differences. Yasujiro Ozu's charming domestic comedy-drama starring Shin Saburi and Michiyo Kogure.
