Synopsis
An aging Hollywood musical star whose career is fading travels to New York to mount a Broadway musical staged by an egotistical highbrow director who insists on turning a light musical comedy into an unwieldy modern Faustian tragedy. Vincente Minnelli's joyous, self-reflexive MGM musical starring Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse, featuring the immortal 'That's Entertainment!' and the noir parody 'Girl Hunt Ballet'.
