Synopsis

An ambitious, Pulitzer Prize-obsessed newspaper journalist feigns incestuous nymphomania with the help of his stripper girlfriend to have himself committed to an insane asylum, aiming to solve the unsolved murder of an inmate witnessed by three patients—a brainwashed Korean War turncoat, a traumatized Black student who believes he is a Ku Klux Klan leader, and a nuclear scientist who reverted to a child—only to succumb to real insanity in the hospital corridors. Samuel Fuller's raw, hallucinatory B-movie pulp masterpiece featuring color dream sequences.
