Serpico
Synopsis
The true story of Frank Serpico, an idealistic, bohemian New York City plainclothes cop who refuses to take kickbacks from gambling syndicates and bookmakers in the 1960s and 1970s, isolated and despised by his fellow officers as a traitor for breaking the 'blue wall of silence' and going to the Knapp Commission, surviving a suspicious point-blank shooting in the face during a Brooklyn narcotics raid. Sidney Lumet and Waldo Salt's double Oscar-nominated gritty crime classic starring Al Pacino in a career-defining performance.
