Paper Moon
Synopsis
In Depression-era 1930s Kansas and Missouri, a charming, small-time Bible-selling con artist agrees to deliver a cigarette-smoking, razor-sharp nine-year-old orphan girl who might be his biological daughter to her aunt in St. Joseph, teaming up to swindle rural widows, bootleggers, and carnival carnies: 'I want my two hundred dollars!' Peter Bogdanovich and László Kovács' Oscar-winning deep-focus black-and-white comedy classic starring Ryan O'Neal and Tatum O'Neal, who won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age ten (the youngest winner in Oscar history).
