Only Angels Have Wings

Synopsis

At a fog-bound, tropical banana port in the Andes, an impassive, hardened flight chief runs a perilous airmail freight service flying flimsy, single-engine mailplanes through treacherous mountain gorges and zero-visibility blizzards, maintaining an unsentimental stoicism when pilots crash, until a visiting American showgirl and a disgraced pilot seeking redemption shatter his emotional armor. Howard Hawks' quintessential ensemble adventure drama starring Cary Grant, Jean Arthur, Thomas Mitchell, and Rita Hayworth.
