Once Upon a Time in Anatolia

Synopsis

Over one agonizing, rain-soaked night in the undulating, barren steppe of Anatolia, a caravan of three police cars containing a homicide prosecutor, a weary medical examiner, police officers, and a confessed murderer drive aimlessly searching for where a corpse was buried near a round tree and a water fountain, passing the night in mundane conversations about yogurt, wives, and mortality before dawn brings an autopsy. Nuri Bilge Ceylan and Gökhan Tiryaki's Cannes Grand Prix-winning 157-minute visual masterpiece.
