In Cold Blood
Synopsis
In November 1959, two ex-convicts—a cold, calculating sociopath and a traumatized, artistic dreamer—break into a prosperous farm in Holcomb, Kansas, hunting for a non-existent safe containing ten thousand dollars and brutally slaughtering all four members of the Clutter family with shotguns, fleeing to Mexico and back to Las Vegas before capture, trial, and hanging on the gallows. Richard Brooks and Truman Capote's four-time Oscar-nominated true-crime masterpiece shot in black-and-white in the actual Clutter murder farmhouse with Conrad Hall's camera and Quincy Jones' score.
