Synopsis
On his final day before checking into a hospital for a terminal illness, a renowned, melancholic Greek poet wanders rain-slicked Thessaloniki, rescuing an undocumented Albanian squeegee boy from human traffickers and taking him to the snowy border while reflecting on words, lost time, and his late wife: 'How long does tomorrow last? An eternity and a day.' Theo Angelopoulos' Cannes Palme d'Or-winning masterpiece starring Bruno Ganz with Eleni Karaindrou's music.
