Synopsis
An effervescent Parisian striptease dancer desperately wants to have a baby within twenty-four hours, but when her intellectual bookstore boyfriend refuses, she threatens to ask his best friend to father the child, setting off an irreverent, musical-comedy battle of sexes using book titles as silent arguments. Jean-Luc Godard's first color and Cinemascope film starring Anna Karina (Berlin Best Actress), Jean-Paul Belmondo, and Jean-Claude Brialy with Michel Legrand's playful score.
