Synopsis
In an unnamed, civil-war-torn African nation as child-soldier rebel forces advance and French military helicopters urge evacuation, a fiercely stubborn French colonial coffee plantation owner refuses to abandon her ripening harvest, clinging to illusions of colonial permanence while chaos engulfs her family. Claire Denis' ferocious, sensory tour-de-force starring Isabelle Huppert scored by the Tindersticks.
