Synopsis
Haunted by a recurring nightmare of twenty-six ravenous barking dogs, an Israeli filmmaker realizes he has completely repressed all memory of his military service during the 1982 Lebanon War, interviewing former comrades to reconstruct his suppressed recollections until uncovering his unit's proximity and passive complicity in the horrific Sabra and Shatila refugee camp massacre by Christian Phalangist militia. Ari Folman and David Polonsky's Golden Globe-winning and Oscar-nominated animated documentary milestone culminating in real-life archive footage.
