Synopsis

An aging, weary Paris underworld gangster pulls off an ingenious 50-kilo gold ingot robbery at Orly airport to fund his quiet retirement, but is double-crossed when a rival drug boss kidnaps his lifelong best friend and demands the loot as ransom. Jacques Becker's moody, elegant French policier that made Jean Gabin an elder statesman of French cinema and introduced Jeanne Moreau and Lino Ventura.
