Synopsis

On a desolate, wind-swept Atlantic coastal promontory in Sintra, Portugal, a film crew shooting a black-and-white sci-fi remake of Allan Dwan's Most Dangerous Man Alive runs out of raw 35mm film stock and money when their elusive American producer vanishes, leaving the cast and director wandering through a shuttered hotel playing music and talking about stories, until the German director travels to Los Angeles to track down his producer living in a mobile home on the run from mob loan sharks. Wim Wenders and Henri Alekan's Venice Golden Lion and FIPRESCI Prize-winning black-and-white meditation on cinema starring Patrick Bauchau and Samuel Fuller.
