Synopsis
In the disillusionment of post-May '68 Paris, an aimless, narcissistic young intellectual lives off his older boutique-owner mistress while embarking on an intense, emotionally voracious affair with an uninhibited hospital nurse, drifting through Saint-Germain cafes in a torrent of monologues on sex, love, abortion, and the death of utopia. Jean Eustache's Cannes Grand Prix-winning 217-minute monument starring Jean-Pierre Léaud, Bernadette Lafont, and Françoise Lebrun.
