Synopsis
An extraterrestrial humanoid named Thomas Jerome Newton arrives in New Mexico from a dying, water-starved planet, using nine advanced alien patents to build a multi-billion-dollar technology conglomerate to finance a return rescue spacecraft, but finds his mission derailed by alcohol addiction, corporate greed, government betrayal, and television saturation.
