Synopsis

A rebellious, hard-drinking 21-year-old Nottingham lathe machinist spends his grueling workweeks grinding metal in a bicycle factory, living for weekend pub crawls, brawls, and a clandestine adulterous affair with the wife of an older co-worker: 'Don't let the bastards grind you down!' Karel Reisz and Alan Sillitoe's BAFTA-winning British Kitchen Sink realism breakthrough starring Albert Finney in his iconic, swaggering film debut.
