Night Moves
Synopsis
A disillusioned former football pro turned Los Angeles private eye dealing with his wife's infidelity is hired by an alcoholic former Hollywood starlet to track down her runaway sixteen-year-old daughter, tracing the girl from Hollywood party pads to the Florida Keys where an underwater smuggling conspiracy, sunken airplanes, and sudden sniper executions destroy his moral illusions: 'I saw an Éric Rohmer film once. It was kind of like watching paint dry.' Arthur Penn and Alan Sharp's quintessential post-Watergate paranoia neo-noir masterpiece starring Gene Hackman and Melanie Griffith.
