Synopsis

A quiet French provincial town is thrown into paranoia and suicidal hysteria when a barrage of venomous poison-pen letters signed 'The Raven' accuses a local physician of abortions and adultery while uncovering the secret sins and hypocrisies of every town elder. Henri-Georges Clouzot's chilling masterpiece produced under Nazi occupation, famous for the swinging lightbulb interrogation on good and evil.
