Synopsis
In the dying days of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising, a decimated company of Polish Home Army resistance fighters is cut off by German tanks and retreats into the city's labyrinthine, toxic subterranean sewer system, enduring suffocating darkness, booby-trapped gas grenades, and despair only to emerge at locked sewer grates opening onto the Vistula River with German machine guns waiting.
