Synopsis
At an archaic, authoritarian English boarding school dominated by tyrannical senior 'whips', corporal beatings, and church parades, three rebellious non-conformist seniors led by Mick Travis hoard Bren machine guns and mortar shells in the school basement, mounting an armed rooftop insurrection and mowing down masters, bishops, and parents on Founders' Day. Lindsay Anderson's Cannes Palme d'Or-winning surrealist anti-establishment satire starring Malcolm McDowell in his explosive screen debut.
