Synopsis
At an isolated railway station in German-occupied Czechoslovakia, an apprentice dispatcher is more terrified of losing his virginity than confronting the Nazi war machine, until a resistance operative arrives with a package of explosives. Jiří Menzel and Bohumil Hrabal's Oscar-winning tragicomedy of coming of age and heroic anti-fascism.
