Synopsis

Two prison escapees follow diverging paths: one becomes an ultra-wealthy phonograph factory tycoon, while the other becomes a carefree worker on his assembly line, finding that the mechanized factory is merely another prison. René Clair's delightful musical satire that famously influenced Chaplin's Modern Times.
